Ok my concept is really simple. It would be great to make a small box that you can drag anywhere and have the ability to simply just type a number that you assigned to a webpage quickly getting you to that page in a new tab wouldn't it! plus it gets rid of a lot of clicking and finding with only 1 minor problem: you may have trouble remembering which button is what but that can be solved maybe a list on a sidebar saying which numbers go where for instance. this would be great for role-players for them to simply click on the box type a single number would be easier than looking on bookmarks, filling the bookmarks toolbar,or typing the name of a site. well that's all i have right now but I won't even try building it if no one likes it.

Right... another extension where you have to remember things. No, the title of this gave me an idea which could possibly be better (imo). Look at the tab bar. At the left there is a + tab; that's to open a new tab. A new tab with what? Most often, a blank page. Now, wouldn't it be smart to be able to add some + tabs, but with another icon? Like the icon of the site it opens? So: make more '+' tabs which each open a different site... something like fast bookmarks. Stay within a limit of, say, 5 or 10, so as not to clutter your taskbar. And assign keyboard shortcuts for the impatients... What about Ctrl - x - T where x is 1,2,3,4,5... a number... but most important: the tabs are numbered in the order they appear on the tab bar. So then it suppresses the need to display something like: 1: google.com 2: global-rs.com 3: wowwiki.com 4: mozilla.stackexchange.com etc... All you have is little tabs. Simple. |
